Thankful
Today is my favorite holiday. Thanksgiving is the best time of year to me. Some people say their favorite holiday is their birthday, or Christmas. Christmas is important, for which it is when Jesus was born. But the some of the people who say Christmas is their favorite tends to forget what Christmas is about, and just enjoy it for the new gifts. I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for some things in a weird way, and some make perfect sense. Some things people wouldn't think I was thankful for because of my actions, or what I say. I want to try to change that. I want them to see that yes, I am thankful.
I am thankful for my wonderful family. I don't get to see all of them at once very much, and talk to them ever so often. We are sadly so busy that it is like we forget we have each other sometimes. Today is the day we forget we are so busy, and concentrate on each other. We catch up, eat, and talk about anything and everything.
I am thankful for my wonderful parents. They have been with me through things that I never imagined going through. They do everything they can to support me and my decisions. They have been such a great example for me to follow, even though they would say they have not. But they see the example different than I do. I would not be here if it weren't for them, and I for sure know I wouldn't have come this far, 21 years, if it wasn't for them.
I am thankful for my two little brothers. Yes, we fight, and have fought, a lot, but I love them so much. I don't know what I would do without them. I am so proud of both of them. They are so smart, and loving, even though they don't show it to me so much haha.
I am thankful for the roof over my head that my parents are providing me. No, it is not the prettiest house, nor do we like it, but it is a shelter from the outside. Some people would love to have this shelter, and I am the one who is Blessed with it.
I am thankful for the car that I drive. I hate this car to no end, and anyone who knows me, knows how true that is. But it gets me where I am going. Where I need to go. If it wasn't for my car, I wouldn't have gotten so far in college. I wouldn't have gotten a job. Even though I hate it, I am thankful for it.
I am thankful for the job that I have, and have had for a year and a half. I don't like the people I work with, but if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be working there. I enjoy it because of the people I meet. Some are so great, loving, and I can tell that they love their life. Some are down, sad, or mean, and it makes me upset to know they are not loved, or don't want to be loved like I am.
I am thankful for the place I am living right now. Yes, I would absolutely love to be living somewhere else, but at least I am not in the middle of a crime neighborhood, or in the middle of a war zone.
I am thankful for little things, along with these major things. Music is an expression, and I take it seriously. Listening to music tells how I feel. I use it to express my feelings. When someone is listening to something with me, it is easy to know how I am feeling, or who I am reminded of by a song.
I am thankful for college. I am thankful for the career I want to be in so badly. I am thankful that I am allowed to go to school, to even think about majoring in something. Not everyone is allowed this, what I call a privilege, and I am so thankful that I get this opportunity.
I am thankful for having everyday necessities. I am thankful for having food on the table every night. I am thankful for having junk food! Not everyone gets to have these things. And it is sad.
Most of all, I am thankful for God, saving us, dying for us, watching over us, blessing us. He really blessed us this year. He leaves my family and I fighting, but I am accepting that this is His plan. I believe this keeps us stronger. I am thankful that I am here. Living. Being blessed by Him with everything that I have.

The Tables Slightly Turn
A few things are finally happening around my house. It is awesome how it is happening right at Thanksgiving time, which is giving me lots of things to be thankful for. First of all, my dad got a job. He is working at a place in Huntsville. This happened so fast! He put in for the job Tuesday, and was called in on Thursday to do a drug test and a written test. After about four hours, they told him to come back Monday (today) and start working. Hopefully this will work out great.
I had to change my hours at work. Since dad will not be getting out of work until five, mom has to have a way to work. So, I work until three now, so she will have time to go to her job too. I think I will like getting off an hour earlier. This messed up plans in the pharmacy however. I am not working back there anymore since I have to be home by three thirty. I was working in the pharmacy two days a week until six. I understood this, and was expecting it to not work out. But, I think it may be for the best. After what my current plans are, it was kinda funny that my hours are having to change. Kinda like, I am being shown that I will get to carry out my plans. I don't know, I hate jumping the gun on things. I get my hopes up only to see "the plan" is something different.
I am very excited about Thanksgiving! I always am, but this year it is going to be different. We have a little chatter box (Hannah Grace) that will be walking around, jabbering the whole day. And a new family in the making, Josh and Ashley. They are getting to come for Thanksgiving, and hopefully they will make it for Christmas too. My brother went to stay with my aunt and uncle last weekend. Hannah Grace gets up at around six thirty every morning. He slept on the couch, and Hannah Grace came in the living room at six forty-five. He said that she said his name! I can't wait to see her, and hopefully she will say my name too. I love the last part of the year. Family dinners and fall.

Bring On The Rain
I finished my observation this past Friday. I hated to leave! I enjoyed it so much. I didn't want to go back to work this week at all. I wish I would have done the subbing thing instead of this. I paid for my Tech License for the Pharmacy, and now I don't even want to do it. Oh well, I guess that will come in handy if something happens later down the road. Like, I could not get a job right off, and I have that to go to a pharmacy somewhere. What I am getting at is, at the start of the year, I plan on quitting my job, and putting my name down at schools to sub. I think that I will do fine with that money wise. It will be about the same as I make now, and I will actually like what I'm doing. My background check came back, so the waiting part of that is over. It will only take about a week or so to get my subbing license. It is half of what I paid for my Tech License. I will be applying for that soon. I will be ready by January to start that.
My dad is still hunting for a job. It sucks so bad. I have known all along that he wouldn't get one for a long time. That is just how it is here right now. I wish my mom could quit her stupid job. She is hurt, but they don't care, and she can't just up and quit. I am hoping so much that something major happens in the next few weeks. Dad gets a job, I can quit my job so I can get away from that stupidness and do something I like, and mom can quit hers.
School is winding down for this semester. It went by super fast! Yay! I have registered for next semester. We have finally came up with a game plan and I'm going to try to stick to it. I will be taking the summers off, and taking 4 classes a semester. That way my internship will fall in a spring, I will graduate in May, and I have a better chance at getting a job for the fall. I will be finished, if I don't mess up, in the spring of 2012. Sounds like forever away!! But as fast as the semesters go, and as busy as I stay, it will be here before I know it. I will be ready. I have wanted this for so long. It is weird to know that I'm at Athens, weird to know I'm coming to the end, and really weird to know I won't be going to school. Until it is time for my Masters of course. I haven't decided when that will happen, but goodness I have so much time to think about it!
