Complications

Why do retail companies have to make everything so complicated?? If you don't already know, CVS has this thing they call "extra bucks" as a reward for CVS card owners. The card is free, so it's like they are giving you money back for free. This week, we have our twelve pack cokes on sale. Nothing new about that until we get into what everyone else sees as complicated.....and thats the prices. It plainly says, "YOU PAY: 4/1$13.00" Nothing odd about that right? That alone is actually a pretty good price considering how high everything is now. Below the "YOU PAY," there is the "extra bucks reward on 4." It is $3.00. This is a coupon that prints on your receipt after the purchase. This is where it starts getting frustrating for the employee. The ad then states..... "It's like getting them for: 4/$10.00." Now that is an awesome deal! So any customer that has a card, but doesn't understand how to use it, I have to explain it. I explain it as simple as I just did in this, about 3 to 4 times to one customer. They still don't understand, complain about it, refuse to take the product on sale, and then leave. Why can't CVS just have the sales without the hastle of coupons, or what they call, extra bucks?????

I guess you can see today sucked at work. We were really busy. Shouldn't say much about that because it does make the day go by faster. But when you are so busy, doing like, 5 things at once, not only does it get crazy in the store, it gets crazy in your head. Sometimes I don't see how in the world I do it, and do it right. Not once has my money drawer came up short, I haven't had any checks missing, I mean everything still comes out correct.

I still just wish there was an easier way to explain how the CVS card worked......

Starting Over

Well, I have had a blog site for over a year. I haven't posted anything in months. So I decided to delete my past postings and start new. I am now starting the final half, and most exciting part of my degree at Athens State University. I can't wait to finish! It's going by faster than I thought it would. I recently bought a few little things to put in my future classroom.....I know, a little early, but I loved the stuff so I thought, "Why not?" It can be put in a box until I get started. A lot of things have happened the past year. Actually too much to get into. It's the past, and that is where it should stay. I made a great friend while at Northeast. I graduated with him, and we didn't really talk much until the last year of Northeast. Funny how life works. So anyways, he has became my best friend. I miss him a lot, and I hope and pray everyday that he comes home safe.

My 21st birthday is coming up. I'm excited about it. We are spending the weekend of my birthday in Nashville. My cousin is getting married the Friday before my birthday. He lives close to Nashville. So my family and I will be up there anyways. Why not stay the whole weekend and celebrate?? I'm still working at CVS.....blah. I am hoping to get the money for my substitution license soon. That little piece of paper costs a lot. I wish it was easy to find a job now. I could get away from there and do something until I was able to get my license. I'm hoping that something just shows up.

I spent this past weekend with my aunt and uncle in Birmingham. There little Hannah Grace is getting so big. She jabbers all the time, smiles constantly, and loves it when they read her books to her. She is so adorable. Spoiled rotten for sure, but she is the first girl in our family in 19 years, so it's kinda expected. I can't wait until she starts walking. They will have a hard time stopping her from doing anything. Hopefully I will get to go back soon. I want her to keep remembering who I am!
