Celebration

This past weekend, my Bestie and I put together a birthday party for Miss Hayleigh's first birthday. I posted about Candace's baby shower for Hayleigh last year, and I must say, one year flies by. This little girl should NOT be one year old already. She is super sweet. And super adorable!!

We had her a "Tinkerbell" themed party because her daddy calls her Tinkerbell all the time!

I love this little girl!!

Her birthday cake for us to eat.......

Her birthday cake for HER to eat!!! Look at that smile....she was ready to dig in!!

Yum-O!!!

Her party turned out so good. We had pizza, chips, dip, and cake. We also made goodie bags for the kids that was full of candy. She will officially be One on September 1st. Since next weekend is Labor Day weekend, we decided to start celebrating early. She didn't mind :)

Out of Wisdom

This weekend has been a lazy, sleepy, do nothing weekend. Friday, I had my top two wisdom teeth taken out. In 2008, I had my bottom two taken out....and it was awful. I was in bed, in and out of sleep, for two days. Didn't eat anything but mashed potatoes, but mostly made sure I took enough pain medicine to stay "out of it" for as long as possible. This time, my wisdom teeth on the top were completely in, so all the surgeon had to do was pull them out. I came home, and jumped on my computer to see if my school schedule was available. When I started aching, I took one pain pill, and fought the sleepiness as much as I could. Unfortunately, the pain medicine was so strong, that when i woke up, I was sick. Ew. So, Friday night was rough, up and down, tossing around in my bed. Just yuck.

Saturday was much better. I woke up draggy and sleepy, but I didn't hurt at all, and was able to eat fresh, homemade veggie soup....thanks to my awesome grandma!! Today, I've ate my normal foods. So I am so thankful that this experience was ten times better than the last experience! I don't have to worry about anything like that again!

Today, this has been taking up my time.........

With this book.........

Tomorrow starts the first full week of classes, and of course, I'm excited and ready for it! I counted up the weeks, and I have 16 weeks left of academic classes!!

Standing Still

This week is going by super slow. It feels like time is standing still or barely ticking. I think it because I am looking forward to so much. I have so much to be excited about and to be thankful for. I'm so excited that everyone is starting school again. I love this time of year, and I'm trying to patiently wait for MY school to start back.....a week later than everyone else's.

Monday was just not my day. As you read from this post I had a pretty busy weekend. My stress tolerance is about a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Monday, I caved. I woke up tired, not feeling good, and just blah. I tried to fight it: Fixed my coffee, put down my windows, and headed to work. By the time I got there, I was on the verge of tears. Everyone noticed that I wasn't my normal self, and my boss...whom I was working with that day....told me if I needed to I could go home because he knew I didn't feel like being there. Yes, that is how awesome my boss is. So once all the other techs had their lunch, I told him I was gonna go ahead and go home. I almost didn't make it out the door before my eyes started watering. I came home and relaxed. That was it. Apparently, since I didn't have a "wind down" day, I just couldn't function right.

Tuesday and today were about the same. We are busy at work, and getting behind on our daily "chores." This weekend is going to be bad at the C. One tech is getting married, one tech is the mother of the son that the tech is marrying, one tech is decorating for the wedding, and I will be having my wisdom teeth taken out Friday. So I will be out of it this weekend. Talk about being "short handed."

I'm counting down the days until Monday! I am going to Athens to buy books, and I get to officially start my FINAL academic semester. I am so excited, and can't wait to see how it's going to be. I will be taking:

Teaching Social Studies
Teaching Math in Intermediate Grades
Teaching Reading in Intermediate Grades
Curriculum Seminar in Elementary Education

I'm also counting down the days until this......

September 30th!!

Let's Play A Game....

So much has been happening here, but nothing major. I don't remember the last time I played "catch up" which results in being behind.
(procrastinator)
This might be short, and then again I might start rambling. So much to be happy about, excited about, and nervous about.
I have a change of heart with my current job. I'm still interested, and still like my co-workers and bosses. The problem is...It's not what I would like to do for the rest of my life. It's not what I dream about. My dream is to teach. Have my own classroom. Have my own kiddos. With that dream coming closer and closer, my interest level in a pharmacy technician is slowly going away. I'm trying super hard to keep with it, and stay interested just so no one notices if I am slacking. When I get my own classroom, there will not be any slacking!!

I am buying odds and ends at different stores and keeping them in a storage box until time for me to set up my classroom. Mostly bulletin board boarder, but then a few other things too. I don't even know what all I have! Yesterday, my grandma asked me to come to her house so she could show me something. She said my aunt had bought something for me. I was puzzled, until I saw what it was. She bought me some super cute file folders, and a card with a gift card in it to a local school supplies store. Talk about me being excited!! I can't wait until closer to time so I can go crazy in that store. She works for our County Board of Education, and her daughter is a teacher. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving, and thoughtful family!

I have been on a shopping rampage here lately, that I have to come to a stop!! But, it is super cute clothes that I love. I'll post pictures of that later. This past Sunday, I went to Clay to stay with my little cousin while her parents went to work. Her mom is a counselor at Moody High School, and it was her first day back to work. Little one's preschool didn't open until that Tuesday, and all their normal sitters were busy. So I took off work and went to spend time with my little cousin. It was fun, and she kept me entertained. I felt like I wasn't with a 3 year old, it was more like talking to a 16 year old. Her vocabulary is outstanding!!

This weekend was super fun. Friday, we went shopping for my school supplies, and a few other things. I always love shopping with my mom! Saturday, I had to work. Boo! But, then I went to my friend's house to go shopping with her for Miss Hayleigh's FIRST birthday party!! I can't believe that she is going to be one!!

It's kinda dark, but she is doing her cute little "fish face"!! She is a very happy baby!
Her daddy calls her "tinkerbell" all the time, so Candace decided to do a tinkerbell themed party. Her cake is tinkerbell, and we found some very cute plates and napkins that have tinkerbell on them. I'm going to be helping her with food and decorating of course. We also made cute candy bags as favors, and put tons of different kinds of candy in them!

Today, I hope to reorganize my space. I am very very particular about my organization and cleaning. My space looks like a disaster. I plan to do my usual Sunday chores, and help my dad work on my car a little. Don't panic!!! It's not messed up or broken, just a minor replacement that needs to be taken care of. Today is also my cousin's wedding shower. So I will be with my family today for that.

I hope everyone has an outstanding Sunday, and a great week ahead. This Friday, I will be having my top wisdom teeth taken out. Back in 2008, I had my bottom teeth taken out. I pray everything goes great, and I don't develop dry sockets!!

WILW Minus Slacking

So it's been forever + a day since I've blogged. I know I've said this before, but I'm seriously gonna try to do better about blogging. I wish I could make time to blog every day. Sometimes, I grab my computer to blog, and my mind goes blank. Urg! But, anywho, here is what I'm currently loving....

I'm loving that it is starting to show signs of my favorite season....fall. Yesterday, it looked so clear, crisp, and just "fall" looking! It's hard to describe, but I think you get the idea.

I'm loving that my dad's tomato garden is doing so wonderfully, and we get to eat home-grown tomatoes every night with our meals! It's a southern thing :)

I'm loving that in one month and two days, I'll be celebrating year number 23. It doesn't seem real. Kinda weird because I still tell people I'm 21 when asked!

I'm loving my wonderful family. Doesn't get any better!

I'm loving that after weeks of internet troubles, and then an outage on Sunday and Monday, it is finally fixed!

I'm loving that my last four academic classes start in 12 days!! Wowzers!! Talk about exciting :)

I'm loving that because school is about to start back, my hours are being cut at work. Whew....time for a slowdown.

I'm loving that this year is almost over. I'm not a patient person, and have been waiting for the year 2012 for a while! Extra exciting!

I'm loving my followers who think my life is interesting enough to read, even though I don't update like I should. I promise, I'm trying to make that better.

I'm loving reading other people's blogs!! I'm addicted, and if you haven't checked out my favorites page, you're missing  out :(

I'm loving Pinterest so much that I'm on it every time I get on my laptop. Right after I read blogs, it's pinterest time!

I'm loving all the shopping deals I have came across here lately, and would love to take pictures and blog about them.

I'm loving that I have booked a condo for a weekend getaway to Gulf Shores!! I haven't been to the beach in 3 years, and I'm long overdue for a visit. So excited about getting out of here, even if it is for one weekend!

Check out Jamie's awesome blog to tag along in Wednesday Love! I hope to do a fully loaded update on what's been going on here this weekend! So much to talk about!
