Random Dozen and Idol

1. How do you feel about the marshmallow Easter Peeps?
I hate peeps. They are really cute looking food, but I don't like the taste at all.

2. Chickens are notoriously nervous creatures. When you are nervous, what is the best way to calm down?

Sit down and breath, or think of something other than what is making me nervous.

3. People say, "April showers bring May flowers." Do you enjoy Spring rains?

In a way.....I like the smell the rain makes in the spring. I also like the fact that it is not cold like the winter rains!

4. When I was randomly flipping through TV channels this week, I saw a show in which tattoo parlor employees received tattoos of a co-worker's face on their bodies. I can't imagine having a portrait of a colleague tattooed on me. But if someone forced you to receive a portrait tattoo (face only) of anyone, who would it be? Why?

My goodness I have no idea!! I guess IF I had a child it would be their baby face. It would mean more that way

5. Would you rather have a tattoo (any kind) or a nose ring?

Tattoo for sure. A nose ring is something everyone can see. Tattoos can go somewhere that can be covered.

6. Do you have any special plans for Easter?

Not as of now. I will probably do homework ha!

7. Cadbury Eggs or Reese Eggs?

Oh Reese Eggs for sure!! So flippin awesome!!

8. What was the last thing/person you took a picture of?

Zoey once she was still enough for me to snap it!!

9. What book are you reading now, or what was the last one?

My school books unfortunately!! This summer I will get a book to read. Either Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass.

10. What do you think is the most difficult task when it comes to Spring cleaning?

Dusting everything down really good. It stirs and causes allergies really bad.

11. How many pairs of flip-flops do you own?

I threw all of my flip flops away yesterday accept three pairs!! I feel good about it because I have had those flips for way too long!

12. Which color makes you happiest?

Orange because it is such a bright, happy color!!

Didi is gone from Idol tonight. She needs a little work and I hope she does keep working on music. I'm still in a small shock that Tim is still there. They kept talking tonight about him smiling all the time. I said, "It's because they first said no, then they said yes, and he is somehow in the top ten. Who wouldn't smile about that??" If they REALLY wanted him in, they would have said yes to begin with. He got lucky is all =)

I got to admit.....his smile is adorable though!!

I also wanted to share this song today. I listen to it a lot, and never get tired of it. I posted lyrics instead of the music video, but you really should see the music video. It is something I didn't expect. It by Safetysuit:

Yucky, Rainy Day

The rain woke me up at 6 this morning banging the roof. It has been so windy and rainy all day. This one disadvantage of spring, it rains just about every three days. I know that when summer gets here, I will be begging for relief from the heat! Never satisfied ha! I was not called to work today so I have been catching up on GH and working on some homework. Last night was Idol night, and I must say it is about time she left the show.

Let's face it, not many of the contestants are great this season. Last year was better than this year. So far the aren't picking the best songs, and the group lip-syncing absolutely sucks. I was blind to that fact until this season. I never knew that the whole group performance was....well....fake. I noticed that the first performance was off....by a lot. So I checked it on the internet, and oh my goodness! So now I notice it more than ever, and I can't stand it! Ellen is flat out hilarious on the show. I have always liked her, but don't get to watch her show in the afternoons.

Maria at Two Hearts Made Four decided to embark on a quest to get fit. I'm all about that right now!! I think it will be fun to follow her and other girls on their journey. I journal what I do every once in a while. I did yoga Monday, and let me tell you.....my legs have been super sore ever since. So today I'm going to go at it again after skipping two days. Visit her and grab her button if you want to join, or just follow!

Music Monday

Well today is Monday! Not only is the beginning of a new week, but it is time to share some music.....one of my favorite things! This week, Haley decided she would like to share playlists. I have a ton of songs to share, but I'm not going to transfer my whole window's media list over here! So here is a random top ten of fave's that I like to crank up with the windows down:

1. Shake It-Metro Station
2. Impire State of Mind-Jay-Z
3. Imma Be-Black Eyed Peas
4. Meet me Halfway-Black Eyed Peas
5. Come On-Green River Ordinance
6. Stay-Safetysuit
7. All The Way Turned Up-Soulja Boy
8. The Boys of Summer-The Ataris
9. Heartbreak Warfare-John Mayer
10. All the Right Moves-One Republic

Check the songs out if you haven't heard a few! So this weekend was great. Friday was beautiful, Saturday was a repeat, and Sunday was family day. Besides feeling terrible Friday, I managed to get outside and watch Zoey (my dog) run around. She is so full of energy, and runs everywhere! I finally started feeling better Saturday morning. I didn't get out as much since the wind was gusting. But it was still pretty warm. Sunday was yucky with rain. My uncle, aunt, and Hannah Grace got to come this Sunday. Hannah Grace wasn't sick anymore. That girl is so funny. She is about to be 2 years old, and she is so fun. She explores, talks, and has such a sense of humor already.

She was sitting on her daddy with her shirt pulled up. She had her hand on her belly, and she was sticking it way out, then breath in deep to make it suck in.....it was hilarious!! I started saying things to her about it, and she kept on blowing it out, sucking it in. So funny! She just laughed. We were looking at one of her books and came across a shape of a heart. I said, "What color is that?" She said, "Red." I didn't say anything back, she looks at me and says, "Or orange?" With the cutest confused look on her face!!

I worked at Woodville today for Junior High English, and work half a day tomorrow. I'm so glad I'm getting to work a little bit more. If I wouldn't have been sick Thursday, I could have had another day under my belt. I feel so much better now, and thank you for the get well comments!! I decided I felt good enough to do some Extreme Fit today! So I did a small workout, a small run, and yoga. I exercised for about an hour, and boy do my legs hurt!! That yoga is rough! I might skip tomorrow, and do it again Wednesday. I really liked it, even though it hurts. Pain means that I'm getting somewhere!!

So yesterday was a very terrible day. I caught another virus, and this one was the worst one I have had in a very long time. I don't know what it is with me and viruses, but it feels like I get one every other month or something. My immune system doesn't work is very weak, so I catch a lot of things. Used to, the whole winter season, I would be sick with the flu, or sinus stuff, or with a throat infection. The past two winters have not been as bad, thank goodness! I feel much better today, just really weak. I survived another one!

Newness!

So if you are reading this, you see that my page is a tad different. Thanks to my smart, computer whiz, and nice for doing this brother I now have the three column blog that I asked about a few weeks ago. Thank you Emily for submitting a comment for the help! I still couldn't do it myself, so I asked my brother Travis if he would be nice enough to help me. He is a pure computer genius. I like this way much better than everything being on one side for some reason....it was irking my OCD ha!

I went shopping today for some new jeans. Earlier this week, a new store opened in Scottsboro called Burke's Outlet. Let me tell ya! I have fallen in love with that store. It is sort of like a Ross, which is another fave of mine. I picket up two pairs of jeans, some active capris, and a sweater to wear with my tanks. If I would have bought all this in the stores they belonged in, I would have spent $113.49!!! (Not counting tax)
But here, it is a totally different story. I spent $41.38!!! Love the savings! One pair of jeans come from Pac Sun, that was the best deal. I got them super cheap. Awesomeness =)

American Idol comes on tonight! I hope my favorites do good and stay. I used to vote every week, multiple times, and that got old. So I just watch now. It is Rolling Stones week, so this should be interesting!!

Music Monday

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was busy and dreary. The clouds are still here today! Saturday was Chad's last ball game, so that meant a full day of playing, trophies, and pizza party. Sunday we were going to have dinner at my grandma's house. My uncle was coming up from Birmingham, but Hannah Grace woke up with a high fever. So they didn't get to come. The food was great as always!

I'm not feeling very well today, so the mood is mellow. Keith Urban is my husband, and I just love listening to his music and seeing him in concert. I love all his songs, but right now his newest single is great. The first time I heard this song was the last time I saw him, and I instantly fell in love with it. It was awesome. So here it is.....OH!! and don't forget to join The Diva Bee on Monday's for music!!

Great Start

Today was a good day! This morning was yucky and stormy, but this afternoon was fantastic. They were predicting a yucky afternoon, and I'm glad they were wrong. After seeing the forecast for next week, I decided to start my exercising Monday. The New Year's plan was supposed to start January 1st I know, but sometimes it takes great weather to get you pumped! Especially for exercising. Trav came home today, and we started talking about how nice it was, the warm temps, and when we were gonna start going outside for the walk. So we decided, why wait until Monday? Go now! We did just that. Headed to the park that is 2 minutes from my house, and walked the trail. It is 1/4 mile one trip, so we walked 3/4 mile, and ran 1/4 mile, giving us a total of one mile. Running was rough! I haven't ran since....maybe Junior High when I played basketball!! We were thinking about going two miles, but after the 1/4 mile run, we were done! See how lazy we have been!!

After we got home, I got settled down and caught my breath, I started wheezing and my chest was hurting. I have thought for a while I had a slight case of asthma....it runs in the family....But it hasn't bothered me in a long time. I guess because I wasn't getting out and doing anything! So I may have to skip the running, and just walk. That part doesn't seem to cause any problems.

American Idol bothered me last night. My favorite girl, Katelyn, didn't make it. I think that Paige, or Katie should have went instead of Katelyn and Lily. Toddrick was a favorite at first, until he sounded like a school girl when he said, "basically they stole our routine" during Hollywood week. Are you a cheerleader??????  Anyways, poor little Alex didn't make it either. I think he has a good voice, he just needs work. He needs to break out of his shyness shell before he tries to do a national t.v. show. My favorite guy right now is Lee. I like his raspy voice, and he isn't bad looking =)
As for the girls, I'm not sure who I like right now. Katelyn will hopefully come back next year, or do her own thing since she has been recognized. I want to leave this video of my favorite performance from her singing The Scientist by Coldplay, who also happens to be a favorite band of mine. Have a great weekend!!

Random Dozen Wednesday

1. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
This is a hard question considering I own so many pairs of shoes! Some of my flip flops may be about 3 years old, if not older. My fur boots are working on year number 3. So around 3, maybe older.

2. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? If so, what variety?
No, we don't buy those anymore hardly. I have found some that are similar to Tag-Alongs at the Dollar General, and they are way cheaper.

3. Do you know how to ballroom dance? If not, would you like to?
No I don't. I think it would be fun to learn!

4. Were you a responsible child/teenager?
Pretty responsible. I had my moments as does any teen, but overall I think I was pretty good =)

5. How many of this year's Oscar-nominated movies did you see?
Yay for movies!!   I watched The Blindside, Inglorious Bastards, Julie & Julia, and Transformers: Rise of The Fallen. I watched the Oscars this year, and I was happy with the winners. I can't wait to see The Hurt Locker!!

6. If you're going to have a medical procedure done, such as having blood drawn, is it easier for you to watch someone else having the procedure done or have it done yourself?
Have it done. If I see what is being done, I will freak out quicker.

7. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Saturday. We get to sleep in, we don't usually do anything important, everyone is off from work, in the spring it is our time to go outside, we go out most of the time. It is just a day to spend together and chill.

8. Do you miss anyone right now?
Yep I do

9. Do hospitals make you queasy?
Nah. It usually doesn't bother me unless I'm in the waiting room with a bunch of sickness.

10. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card. Not that you ever would, you responsible person, you.
This is a tough one! Either Barnes & Noble, JCPenney's, Rue 21, or any other really good clothing stores.

11. Are you true to the brand names of products/items?
I think generic is just as good. I usually go with generics, unless the item doesn't have a generic.

12. Which is more difficult: looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when he/she is telling you how he/she feels?
Telling how I feel!! It is so hard for me to do that. I just get scared of what will happen once I say it. Things might change, or they might not feel the same. Tough stuff!!

Music Monday & The Weekend

Haley over at The Diva Bee has a Music Monday activity. I love music, so of course I would play along! I have had this song in my head all weekend. It is a group called Owl City. They have the song Fireflies that comes on the radio all the time. I can't remember how I found him, but I really like his music. It is totally different, out there, and basically all his thoughts but into songs. He is great. So here is the song.

The thought bubbles are my favorite!
Anyways, the weekend took its time here. It feels like it's been a pretty long time since Friday. I love weekends like this. Saturday we watched Chad play basketball again. I keep forgetting my camera, but hopefully I can grab it next Saturday. It is his last game, pizza party, and trophies. I should remember it this time!  My mp3 player came in the mail Saturday too. So I set that up. We headed out after naps to eat dinner, and watch Alice In Wonderland! I really liked it, but I like crazy stuff like that! Tim Burton is a genius to me!

Sunday we got up, ready, and left for Chattanooga. Grabbed breakfast at Hardee's which was good as always!! The Hunter Museum of American Art was our destination. I'm taking Art Connections this semester, and my brother is taking Art Appreciation. We have the same instructor, so we had the same assignment. We had to visit a museum, and write a paper about our favorite pieces, and artists. I really like that museum. The art is awesome, and they have glass sculptures, and blown glass. It is really fun. We came home and I got started on the assignment. The weather this weekend was amazing. Sunny and warm! Another spring preview. Today is just as wonderful, and lots warmer! I wish I had time to go out!

This week is going to be crazy!! I have three class meetings, and tons of work due before spring break. Next week is the spring break! We have a break thank goodness!! I need it, every college student needs it!

Jackpot

Today went well at Athens for the psychology test. I passed with a B! I studied more this time than last, so I was sure I would do better. I am a terrible test taker. I freak out, can't stay concentrated long enough to study really good. When I get the test in my hand, I go blank. This time I did something a little different. I did the study guide like always, but instead of trying to remember all the information, I highlighted main information and tried to tie the information in with the question. I tried to make a connection with some of it. I hope that is what made the difference. Maybe that will happen all the time! I also considered doing note cards....This idea I have known since high school, but didn't actually think of the easiness of it until yesterday.

The class I'm in requires discussion board. We are talking about intelligence and memory. One of the topics for discussion was what strategies we used for studying or remembering something. A lot said using a study guide, reading it over and over, and saying it out loud. One student said she wrote the question on the front of the note card, and the answer on the back, that way she wasn't looking away to find the answer, or having to relate back to the question. Can anyone say Genius!!! I might just use that next time since our tests cover three and four chapters.

Also, I recently decided that I am getting tired of receiving bills in the mail. It is taking up space since I try not to throw away those just in case something happens. One bill in particular, I signed up for paperless billing. For one, it saves trees, and another, I can simply put the emailed receipt into a folder, and only print it when I need it. Okay, so anyways, today I had an email from them that had a free movie ticket for going paperless. How awesome is that?? Going paperless might give you a reward!

Better believe I am using that tomorrow to go see the awesome and exciting Alice In Wonderland!! I have been waiting for March 5th to get here for months just for this movie to premiere! So tomorrow, I have a very important date, I can't be late!!!

Yogurt

My mom and I had a small day out this morning. We had two errands to run, and then sadly headed to wal-mart. I hate Scottsboro wal-mart just as much as the next person. I am glad to say however, that it was not as bad as it usually is. Minus the two people when we first walked in. They acted like we were not even standing there at the buggy line waiting for one. She almost ran over my mom! I was thinking, "Okay lady, this is not a race, and I promise whatever you are wanting in here, it will still be there no matter what time you get there." Anyways, we only had to pick up a few things, but still needed a buggy.

We were at the orange juice aisle just browsing at all the different kinds of drinks there were. The yogurt is at the end of that aisle. I absolutely l-o-v-e yogurt. I usually grab whatever Food World has in my favorites. Wal-mart has by far way more choices of flavor than Food World. So I took a minute while to browse. I don't like trying new yogurts....I usually stick to my Yoplait Lite. I have tried Dannon Light and Fit recently, but didn't like the flavor I picked. Mom found so Bryer's yogurt and candy. It was like a vanilla flavored yogurt that you mixed M & M mini's in, or strawberry yogurt with granola. She wanted to try that. I decided to try some Apple Turnover and White Chocolate Strawberry. Sounds yum-o huh. I hope it is!

So my faves are Harvest Peach. Small chunks of peaches.  Love it, one cup doesn't seem like enough. But I never eat two in one sitting. That defeats the purpose of the calorie count :)
Second would have to be the Strawberry Shortcake. It also has small strawberry chunks in it. The smoothies are pretty good too, but the calories in those are killer. 220 in one 8 once bottle. Never again.
Third would have to be the Blueberry Patch, although I don't get that one as much as the first two.

So I am hoping to add the new ones to my favorites list. I also love frozen dinners. haha!! I really like Lean Cuisine. That brand is probably my favorite. I get the spaghetti and meat sauce just about every time. I have also tried the chicken and fettuccine. Today Wal-mart had their Banquet singles on sale for 88 cents!! I haven't tried these before, so I hope they are good! I can't remember which two I got of those. This is pretty much my breakfast and lunch. I also snack on Wheat Thins and Reduced Fat Cheez-Its. Reduced fat ones taste just like the regular ones.

Anybody else like yogurt?? Or anything else I mentioned?? I have a test tomorrow at Athens. Child Psychology. I hope I do better on this one than the last one!!

Help Needed

I have become a fan of the three column blogs. I like the organization of them instead of having everything on one side. That irks me!! So, I went to TCBOTB website and found a way to do it. This ended really bad. My whole page was screwed up, after I had already saved the messy changes. I don't know if I am just not good with coding, or what happened. I finally fixed it, but still not three column.

So, if anyone knows how to get a three column template, Please comment and let me know =)

Greatly Appreciated!!

What Happened Was.....

Someone just will not stop doing the "snow dance"!! Once again, we have a snow day. So much for that preview huh! This is the most we have had so far. It is packing well, and making trees heavy. It's still falling to make it worse.

This is what we have so far. This is an elevated place near my house. It says about 4 inches. The white dot close to the 6 is a snowflake....ha! How cool does that look. It looks like a paper hole from a hole punch. I wonder how much we will end up with. The road is slushy too. I don't think anyone around my house left for work today besides my dad. When he left, it wasn't on the road.

This is another shot of the cedar tree behind our house. It is more covered this time than last. You can't see the field or the pond behind it because of the snow coming down. This time, we truly have a winter wonderland.

So, I hope the snow dancing will end soon. Is this enough snow for you? Spring can't get here fast enough for sure. I think I have already said that, but I'm serious. I'm ready for short sleeves, flip flops, and car windows down. Sunshine, getting outside, although I'm not a HUGE outdoors fan. I do like to get out some though. With my girl, Zoey. Football with Chad. Walking in the mornings, or evenings watching the sun go behind the mountain.

Hopefully I can finish observation tomorrow. This week is Read Across America week, so the kids are doing lots of different activities. It is so fun to watch them. It is going to be fun when I'm there helping with the activities. Can't wait for that!!
On other things..........

(Thanks Yahoo!)

This season of The Bachelor ended bad to me. I was Team Tenley the whole time. I think he made the wrong choice with Vienna. I really think he simply picked V because she makes him feel "young", and he has a strong sexual chemistry with her. Doesn't he know that in order for a relationship to work, you should have a stronger emotional bond, rather than stronger sexual bond? Both are important, but emotionally you should be on the same page. I really think he had that with Tenley, from what was aired on tv anyways. I was glad to see Ali is going to be on The Bachelorette. I really liked her too.

American Idol comes on tonight! For the judges to say over and over that this is the most talented season so far, they are putting the heat on the contestants. The have only said a few good things about their performances. I have a few that I really like, but not a favorite yet.
I've put myself on a pretty good schedule for homework and television. I get started on homework around 4:30, and don't stop until I am caught up pretty well, or it is 7:00. That is two and a half hours of homework a day, which I think is a pretty good time! I don't see how some people can do homework or study for like, 4 and 5 hours straight. They have way more determination than I do. I also don't have that kind of attention span. I would flip out!!
