Yes, 2012 treated me well. One of the best years I've had. The end of 2012 was very exciting, and is leading to bigger and better things in 2013. I can't believe it is already a new year. I'm so very blessed and thankful for all that is happening in my life.
I want to record more in depth about the teaching job in my list. I was recommended by the principal of the school I interned at to finish out the rest of the 2012-13 school year teaching 4th grade Language Arts and Alabama History. I am SO VERY excited about this, and couldn't ask for a better school to work for. Although, it has not been board approved yet. I am "subbing" in this position until the board meets and approves me.....we hope. Everyone at the school is very confident, and believes this position will most definitely be mine. Today was my very first teacher work day, as well as my first faculty meeting.
Tomorrow, I welcome in a room full of 4th graders who are more than likely not as excited about going back to school as I am. I'm not nervous or scared, just anxious and very excited. I have a feeling this position is going to lead me in the direction I have patiently been waiting to go.
