This was my last full week with 2nd grade. Wow. Time flew by in that classroom!! It feels like I just started internship, and I'm already halfway finished. The kids are starting to say "we don't want you to go" and "can't you stay in here until the end of the year?" They are super sweet. They make me laugh everyday, even when I shouldn't be laughing at them!
The kids have been observing their Terrariums and Aquariums this week. They are mesmerized with the fish. One student sits at his seat and just stares at the tank.....Like he gets lost in watching them. It calms him down that's for sure! We watched a really cute Charlie Brown video Friday called "He's A Bully, Charlie Brown." We talked about character education during a planning period, and thought it would be good to start sharing with the students how important it is to be nice to each other, and be respectful. Since my class is mostly below average students, they seem to not understand things like that. I know they will in time :)
I've learned so much in 2nd grade. I have so many notes, memories, and pictures to print. I want to print the pictures to keep in my lesson plan binder since that is everything I did during internship. I've been on the look for graduation invitations and thank-you notes. I can't believe that time is coming. It's crazy to think about graduation. COLLEGE graduation!!! I plan to walk across stage to receive my degree. My family and I are going to go to Catfish Cabin (yum-OOOOO) after graduation. And I also took off 5 days during all this graduation celebration! That weekend is going to be a-mazing.
My brother bought is tickets to a concert in Nashville for the night BEFORE graduation!! I'm so excited! We are going to be seeing Godsmack, STAIND *little girl squeal*, and Halestorm!! I'm going for Staind and Halestorm....I'm not a fan of Godsmack haha. But he loves all 3 of the bands. I can't wait for graduation weekend to start :)
